Sweet Sweet Sweat

Friday, September 30, 2011

I have been finding it really difficult to blog lately. I've had an excessively hectic month, and could barely fit in my excercise. But I did fit it in (including taking weights with me for a mini wedding vacation last week)! I am doing the Pimp my (P)ride Challenge, and loving it.

This challenge is really eye opening for me. I tend to skimp on the strngth training, but this is making me see things differently. I feel really strong (and sore)! We are currently in the 4th week out of 8 and it is amazing to see how much progress I am making. I am blowing away my personal bests left and right. I'm now doing real push ups and have doubled the weight I am lifting.

I also got sorta dumped the begining of this week, so its adding a little fuel to my fire right now. Why not add revenge to the long list of why I want to change my body, mind and health?

I also saw a new primary care doc since I got health insurance back in July. I talked to her about my weight gain issues because of the thyroid/pcos/insulin resistance crap, and how about I have been working for the last year and keep bouncing within the same 10 pounds. She said my body doesn't want to lose weight, and its going to fight me. She didn't offer any advice or options, so I am hoping next time I see her, and she has some bloodwork results, I can get a little bit more help. She did go on and on about my severe cystic acne, and how I really need to get that taken care of. That was fun. I never thought I had a severe acne problem. Oh well.

I'll try to check in again soon, but I'm barely home until the end of october. I also have sweaty pictures and food pictures and before pics that need to grace this page.
