Enjoying my new eating plan (JE 12 week challenge)

I have been wanting to start the JE 12 week challenge since it came out. Well I didn't start until this week. I won't go into all the reasons why i didn't start before....boring!

I skipped forward to the 2nd stage because I wanted to continue doing cardio. I pleased to say the workouts have recharged my batteries and I'm feeling good about my work outs again.

News Flash******I didn't think the eating plan was that far off from what I was currently doing. I stand CORRECTED!!!

Though I was eating clean all meals but dinner and the occasional after dinner treat. I think the biggest change I have seen so far is the time of day that I'm eating has changed drastically and I haven't been hungry or had any cravings. As a matter of fact DH (not so supportive) brought home Ben & Jerry's for me to which I declined because I didn't want it. HOORAY!

I know myself well enough though that after 3-4 weeks I will get bored with my current menu and will need to rotate recipes. So i'm on the look out for good options. Please send me any recommendations you may have. Thx!!!

    Way to resist temptation. I really like Jamie's turkey Chili and the zucchini turkey burgers are good too. Try googling The Gracious Pantry for some really good clean eating recipes. Her salsa pineapple chicken is to die for! I have that in the crockpot right now.

    Way to say no! haha. DH tries to sabotage me like that, too. But, he's started to catch on that I'll be saying no a lot... or until I finally reach my goal. There are a lot of great blogs and sites out there with clean recipes. Just google around. emoticon

    That is awesome that you said NO to the ice cream. Some recipes I have tried & liked are: Jamie Eason Carrot Cake Protein Bars, & her Cinnamon Swirl Protein bread. She has some other meals at bodybuilding.com that you might like to try, like her turkey muffins, bean & turkey chilli etc. Hope this helps. I have a recipe on spark recipes called "bean and veggie wraps in a cinch" that is super good for lunch and its filling. Hope this helps & good luck!

    awesome! I have adopted a new way of thinking since the watch me shrink! it's called TWEAKING! every wk I evaluate and chenge what didn't work! so i have a new plan each wk... made for the wk, some wk is harder some week is easier!

    like this wk I am sick, rest recovery, EAT right!! and I am seeing result! so don't worry keep tweaking, this is an experiment, challenges are guidelines not set in stone!!!!
