Create your own rules!

Monday, September 26, 2011

So I decided today that I am going to start my insanity program sooner than later. I don't want to prolong it anymore. And the reasons I had for not starting it until the end of October appeared kind of dumb:

1. You can't do insanity & run at the same time..DUMB
2. You can do insanity November/December for end of the year wrapup..DUMB..wouldn't it be great to be slimmer/trimmer BEFORE christmas?? I think it would!

So since I'm doing P90X M/W/F in the morning which I have to say doing 1/2 of the program is working out FABULOUS and I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. (I use P90X for strength training). I love it! I still get worked but it doesn't take an hour..I can do it in about 30-35 minutes. And I'm not near as sore. The results might be a little slower but I can deal. as I was sitting her contemplating what I was going to do on T/Th this week I'm like why don't I just freaking start inanity?? That way it will kind of wean me into it and it would be great to fit into some more of my pants for winter (woops). So tomorrow morning I will take my first Fit Test.

Who really cares if I don't do it everyday as long as I finish it? I thought I cared but now since I'm breaking rules w/ P90X and realizing I love it why not break some more. It's my life, my schedule and my exercise program!

I think I'm just really ready for something new. I'm ready for October to be here and I'm just on that downhill momentum path.

Oh and I have a new healthy fun toy! I bought a scale that shows how much fat, water and muscle I am! I know it might not be 100% accurate but I really think it will help me when I see the muscle go up and fat go down. I have to focus on something besides the # of my weight on the scale. I still think in 2012 I'm only going to weigh myself 2 times. Say what? Oh yes..2 times. I'm just that done with weight..I'm done w/ BMI b/c I think it's a crock. And I really want to tell the BMI graph to shove it. According to that I'm obese. But according to me I'm strong and sexy. I just completed 10K in 1 hr 28 min and I do strength training 3x a week. THAT IS NOT OBESE!! When I think of obese I don't picture myself at all.. I picture those people on biggest loser!

Here is to creating your own rules!

Have a great night!
