Hello again

I don't know where the summer went! I know fall only officially started on Friday, but it has felt like it's been here a few weeks. I do know that I have NOT been on track and I have no more time to waste. I went to the doctor this past week for my annual wellness physical. She is young and petite and is very easy to work with. She doesn't get judgmental at all or lecture me about my trials with my weight but does encourage me. I made the comment that I was hoping to have this struggle behind me by the time I hit 60 (which is less than 3 months away...good grief!!) and she assured me that even though I may not be done, I could have a good start made by then. So sensible to think of it this way, especially when there truly is never an "end" to this journey we are on. I will reach that goal one day, but I will always be working on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

In other news, our youngest daughter turned 30 this week. Our oldest grandchild entered kindergarten. And we're awaiting the arrival of our newest grandbaby in about two months -a girl we are calling Lily. Hopefully, that is what they decide on or I'll be calling her by the wrong name for a while. In other words, life is good.

I'm going to stick around this time. Even got my first smart phone so I can keep track on the go....WOOHOO.
