The Year of the Vet....

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

--I took Seven and Miss Lucy to the vet this morning. Seven was to have a "suspicious" mole removed and his teeth cleaned. They asked if I wanted to send the mole off to a lab but realizing that I wouldn't mess with any cancer treatments due to kitty stress and his age, I decided to let it go. They took out a good margin around it, so hopefully he'll be okay.
--Miss Lucy was just there to get her teeth cleaned. Unfortunately, she had to lose an upper canine. She's going to be mad when she wakes up! I already told Rastus that he'd better not make fun of her or HE would lose a canine. Peanut (who already is missing one) says that he and Lucy will match now and is rather excited about the whole affair.
--Peanut still coughs but not as much since he started taking the medicine. It's to dilate an artery (or something like that) so that his heart doesn't have to work so hard.
--So there's the animal update.
--Meanwhile on the human front, my hubbie and I have another financial class tonight. We had to do a budget for "homework". I guess it's good to see how much you spend on everything. I spent a little more on groceries than I thought, but then, it included stuff other than food (cleaning supplies, TP and the like). Maybe I will try to sort it out better and track by item to get a better picture of how much we really spend on food.
--Still can't seem to start losing any weight! Argh! However, I think I am getting in better shape...

Sorry to hear about Miss Lucy's canine. Hopefully Rastus will show some sympathy and not bug her about it. Glad to hear Peanut is coughing less. Hopefully the mole removed from Seven is totally free of any probs. It can be such a worry when our babies are not quite themselves.

Have you taken any of your measurements lately? Your #s may not be going down but maybe your inches are? I find this happens to me. Anyways, have a good night, or day!

Almost forgot! We managed to get the hedge finished tonight. What a big job. The hedge must be about 250ft. long. Thank heavens that is done for another year. emoticon

Your Vet visits help him with his budget! I'm glad everyone is ok. ( I add all of those miscellaneous in my food budget too.) I have me on a pretty strict budget because I live on my social security. Hope you learn a bunch in class tonight! Enjoy!

I'm glad all is better in your animal world.
I find budgeting very hard. Not the actual writing it down...but the keeping with it! emoticon
