Sept. 17 Duathlon

Well I did my duathlon this morning. Finally got underway around 9:10. Temp was about 48 when we started the 5K. But it doesn't take long to warm up. And I like running in the cold weather better. I clocked in at 27:35 Very proud of myself since last week was my first 5K and I came in at 30:09 So I trimmed nearly 3 minutes from my time in one week.I maybe took to much tme in the transition zone, but I didn't want to take off to quickly. We had a stiff east windso the biking didn't go as well as I hoped it would. Final time was 01:45:32 But all in all it was a great time. Lots of great people there to watch and support all the runner/bikers. My wife a kids came to watch which was a great surprise... I will post a few pictures tomorrow.

Thanks to ALL my great spark friends who wished me well before my race. It really means alot to me to hear the kind remarks. I now have a bench mark number to beat now, and I will train harder and crush the numbers today..
