Fall is on it's way!

Well, I've had a great summer! My hubby and I bought our first house and are getting used to all the responsibilities that come with it. I have learned that I'm a pretty handy gardner and I know how to kill the weeds, lol. My husband like to mow and tackle the overhanging tree branches. I love that we can be outside and get our exercise while enjoying the weather. Soon I'm sure we'll be racking and getting ready for the never-ending snow in Michigan.
Since I usually have a hard time staying on track during the fall and winter, the hubby decided to make me a deal. If I could lose 70 lbs my May 1, 2012, he would give me $500 to buy a new wardrobe. I was shocked when he said the amount and am determined to win the bet!
We bought a new treadmill since we moved and i have set it up in front of the t.v., lol. So far I have been walking 3 times a week for 30-40 minutes each session for the past 2 weeks. In the spring we were walking quite a bit but slacked off over the summer... I feel like I'm just trying to build up my endurance again.
As I walk and watch a recorded show I dream of the things I could buy with the money... Lingerie, jeans, dresses, and shoes. I want to wear a bathing suite on the beach next summer and not feel like I did this summer, horrible and self conscious.
I'm looking forward to the fall and all of the activities it brings, but I'm also looking forward to reaching my goal and shopping! I hope I can be a good example to my friends and family along the way too by sticking to my goals and staying positive when things get tough.
