First off, I want to say thank you to everyone for their thoughts and warm wishes today for our family! It has been because of friends that I've managed to maintain my sanity today.
It has been an emotionally exhausting day. For those who don't know, I had to take Tony (my hubby) to the Emergency Room at 7:00 this morning after 3 hours of excruciating stomach pain. At noon he finally sent me home - I had been awake almost the entire night already and hadn't eaten anything all morning. The doctors ran a CT on his abdomen and found inflammation on his appendix. Fortunately, the inflammation was not from the onset of an appendicitis... that meant no surgery. The downside is that we still don't know what has been causing the stomach pains. He has to follow up with a Gastroenternologist so we'll see what happens then.
Needless to say, after the day I've had, my run is not happening tonight. I'm doing good to keep my eyes open and it's barely 7pm. I have managed to get in just shy of 70 minutes of cardio today... I will do whatever I need to do to squeeze in the last few needed to hit 70 for this weekend's BLC Challenge. I know, I know... still worrying about the darn challenges with everything else going on. I have to say, though, that exercising has been my release today. If I hadn't spent even a little bit of time doing some kind of physical activity, I would have gone absolutely stir crazy.
I will be calling it an early night, though, since I want to get up and do a workout in the morning and go through a few last minute things before having to get ready to head to my photo shoot. Our neighbors have assured me that I should not back out just because of Tony - they will both be home all night and are going to check in on him and the kids periodically. They even said if he needs to go back to the ER, they'll get him there and I can meet them. I have wonderful neighbors... the wife actually came to the hospital and picked Keiran up for me so that he didn't have to hang out there with us all morning.
