My Staple...

When I eat out its at Ruby Tuesdays or Olive Garden or Sweet Tomatos and oddly enough it is much cleaner than it ever has been before. My big thing now is still portion control. I have cut back for sure though still at times I do not understand how things that are so mall can pack so many calories and "carbs". The thought that I am eating "wheat pasta" is positive though that only works at maybe 2 cups max. Me I want to eat a whole mixing bowl of it.

At home things are working better. I average about 2cups of salad and carrots per meal. I add 1 or 2 turkey burgers to the tunes of about 3 or 4 oz. (grilled) I drain all the grease away. I have given up the condiments in trade for spices.

I have cut back from a water every few minutes to a bottle or two every hour or when I am thirsty, and more sipping less chugging.

I still have no medication for the most part, and I just got denied for Medicaid, so I am up in the air how all this is gonna work out, though I have high hopes.

I think I have found a church that works for me, and have been listening to sermons on audio, which are comforting. At least I do not have the urge to try and pick them apart like most times. (its the geek in me)

    YAY for a church that works for you! And super yay for eating cleaner and making better choices with your portions. Good for you. And great, now I want a freakin' turkey burger. Nice job.. grrr! LOL

    Is there a particular reason you are being denied medical aid?

    Are there other solutions?
    I know here in the UK we can buy a years prescription certificate and no matter whats prescribed, that 1 payment covers it... but I really have no clue how the US works.

    :) Look at all the POSITIVE changes you have made :) Thats what im talking about!!! :) The changes you still need to work on will come with time. I was speaking to my mom this morning, and i was telling her i have one packet of oatmeal and im satisfied, she tells me there is no way she can do just ONE packet, she needs too. I go mom why not try bulking it up with fruit? It will fill u up more and FEEL like ur eating much more then u are. Im just starting to see the portion changes in the way i eat, a super is now a reg, instead of a whole portion its now only a few or a little. Its not that i did it intentionally lol, its because when you lose weight your stomach shrinks and also tells the brain you are full now. Yes part of it is you, other part is chemical in your brain.

    As for Medicaid keep trying, i have a positive feeling everything will work out for the best.... ps... if u lose the weight, u can say what meds :) lol

    I think your doing amazing, and i see you succeeding , i really do! Keep doing what your doing..

    Yay for finding a church you like! Id love to go back to church, i just dont want to go looking for a church by myself. I always feel odd in a crowded room lol. But God does not judge :)
