Low Lake Level

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

This is where I usually launch my boat. The orange cones indicate where the water level is supposed to be. Where I am standing, the water level is about 1 foot deep. It should be about 4 feet! Work has been real slow this summer, so I have had a lot of time off. Too bad the lakes are low, I would have been there a lot this summer! emoticon

Yup! That looks about right for the lakes around here, too. Lake Granbury is extremely low, lower than many of the people who live around it have ever seen it. I hope we all get some good rains, soon! Is this Lake Palestine? It is supposed to be a beautiful lake, I heard it was really low. emoticon emoticon emoticon

How strange. Is this from the drought and high temps?

Weather has been strange this summer all over the country. The middle was hot while we had a cool summer in the Pacific NW. Then when it started cooling off back there we heated up. Crazy! Wish some of the water the Corps was letting out from the dams on the Missouri could have been channeled down your way.
