It has been a very long day! I actually spent a good chunk of the afternoon tallying points up for the M2W Challenge. It's okay though... I got in a lot of playtime on my breaks with my crazy 3-year old. And Tony got off work early tonight so I got to go running after all.

I hadn't been able to go running since the end of last week and was really wanting to stay on track. Since I started my SP training for the Trick or Treat Trot in the middle of the week, I skipped the 3rd day of my Week 1 training and started on Week 2 today. It's amazing how much of a difference I'm already seeing. Last week, in 27 minutes (I finish whatever lap I'm on rather than just stopping at the end of the designated time) I was doing 5 laps, which equals 1.55 miles. Tonight, in 27 minutes, I was able to get in 6 laps (1.86 miles). I am definintely hitting the 5K trail tomorrow during Girl Scouts. I've got the running bug and I'm ready to roll with it. I'm thinking about doing my Week 2 training plan but doing it for the full length of the 5K trail - that will be my goal if none of the other moms are going walking with me tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone for their encouragement regarding my photo shoot this weekend. I'm getting over the nervousness and am starting to realize that I can do this. :) Ya'll are awesome (there's the "ya'll" for you, Jacqueline)!!!

I'm off to see if I can squeeze in a little more cardio before hitting the shower. I didn't get quite as much cardio in today for my last chance workout, though I did finally get my strength training back on track today. I still need to get in my jumping jacks and crunches/sit-ups for the Downtownn fitness plan. I just realized I haven't done it since Day 2 and today is supposed to be Day 6. I'm off to jump my bootie off (eventually it will work, right!?!). Have a great Wednesday everyone!!!

Jacqueline - Now I think of you everytime I find myself saying "ya'll". What's bad is that I'm actually from northwest West Virginia, but because I've lived in the deep south for most of my life, I have the accent. And it was never as bad as it is now since we've been living in Alabama for almost 3 years. lol

Alicia - 90 minutes is nothing to be ashamed of. That's a great LCW!

I didn't get as much in for my LCW as I wanted either. My goal was 2 hours of cardio today which was a PUSH , but I got in 90 minutes and I got some st in....so I failed at meeting my goal but still feel accomplished. Good luck with the BLC weigh in tomorrow !

LMAO! I hear you saying it, too! emoticon Sounds like the oppressive heat has passed and I'm really glad for you. I know how much you love running.
