I have never written a here goes. I am visiting my elderly parents who still live in my childhood home. Today on my walk I was thinking how lucky I was to grow up in this place. Small town, right across the street from a lake, lots of kids to play with. We ran all over the place. We swam and we played til Dad blew an air horn from the front porch telling us it was time to come home for dinner. Once, I was out on a boat in the middle of the lake when I should have been home at dinnertime. My excuse was that we didn't have a watch. He grounded me for a week and I had to go out at 6 pm every day to see where the sun was, so I would know, where ever I was, that it was time to go home! I love this place and this house. Even tho I've lived in Florida for 32 years (more than half my life), this small Michigan town will always be my home.

Ahhh, sweet ramblings. Your blog takes me back to the time when I was a child. What your dad did sounds exactly what mine would have done!

Congratulations on your first blog post.
