I actually ran 13.1 miles!!!!! So ready for the Half Marathon next weekend!

Today I impressed myself! I decided that I wanted to try and run 10 miles. If I could do it, then I would sign up for the Half Marathon next weekend. A runner friend of mine said that if you could do 10 miles, that you will be ok to do the Half.
So last night I got all my stuff organized. Got my clothes, my phone - everything so that I would be all set to get up early and go for a run. I couldn't even complaign about the weather since it would be early and cool.
I got going and it felt really good. I decided to take a road that I've never been on (not even driving) and found my way around really well. The fact that Endomondo has a mapview was VERY helpful in exploring new territory without fear of getting lost. Explore I did!
I just kept going. Then I was almost home but still not at 10 miles, so I went in another direction and into my town. Again I kept going. For the first time I took GU gel which really gave me a need boost of energy. I don't know how I ran before without it!
By the time I got home, it was exactly 13.miles - the length of a Half Marathon! I am totally going to sign up for the Half Marathon next weekend! I can't believe I did it! Even my kids and husband were amazed!
