Good-bye to the 170's!

This morning I broke into the 160's!!! If someone said to me 9 months ago that I would be at this weight, I would not have believed them. I truly believe that no matter what plan you choose that works for you, if you are consistent and determined, you will reach your goals.
What has been working for me and my sister is low carbing. I realize it's not for everyone, but it works for us. 9 months ago, potato chips were my vegetable. Now I eat so many vegetables that normally I would have NEVER ate....like rutabagas....acorn squash....and fresh spinach.
Also, between my meal plan and exercise, I am leaner. Much leaner. I am currently wearing size 12's. 15 years ago when I wore size 12's I weighed 140-145. I currently weigh 169. And before you say it is vanity sizing....I fit into 3 dresses that I bought in the early 1990's. My waist is currently 29 1/2 inches and my hips are 37 1/2.
So even though I have a goal of 130 pounds, I am less concerned with the scales number and rejoicing in the clothing size number :)
