It's becoming a habit...

I never thought I would be the person who goes to bed early because I want to get up and exercise. The I want to exercise is the most shocking part for me. I am still new and I am probably still in the honeymoon phase of this new routine but it feels really good to see the progress I have made in such a short time. I went from being overweight all of my life with never having played a sport, or exercised regularly to being overweight though smaller and exercising 5 days a week. I am changing my diet as well, but for me the most dramatic change has been the realization that I like to walk and jog and I get excited when I can go further or faster. I signed up for the 5k walk event "knowing" that it was going to be a challenge and one I would have to work really hard to achieve. I am finding that it's not that hard and to push myself I have started jogging part of the training. I know the next event I sign up for will be a walk/jog and see how well I do but eventually I would like to jog the 5k. I know I have a ways to go to reach all of my goals but the progress is exciting and I can't wait to see how far it takes me.
