Half Marathon training day 17

Scheduled run: Tempo run (1 mile warm up, 3 mile 9:30 pace, 1 mile cool down)
Actual run: warm up and cool down were a bit closer to 10 mph (vs suggested 11 mph)
Time: 6:15 am
Time: 49 minutes
Weather: 74 degrees with 92% humidity
Miles on new shoes: 21 miles
Days until race: 81

Today's run felt good. While the humidity is still very high, the temps are lower which makes a noticeable difference. I started the first mile in my neighborhood while it was still dark. We have street lights and some house lights so it wasn't too dark. By the time the first mile was done and I was moving out to running path by the main road, the sky was lightening up enough that I could see debris in the path and critters up ahead.

My new shoes are still rubbing a spot on my back heel/ankle, so I have decided to switch back and forth etch run from the old and the new shoes, until that spot heals and become accustomed to the new shoe.
