I have been feeling down all day today. I don't know why but it has made me cry. My husband is so good to me, but he can't make the depression go away.
As I am only sleeping about 3 hours a night, maybe that's the reason. Sorry to
moan. Regards Sylvia

Sylvia - I feel like you're inside my mind today. I've been clinically depressed for many years, and have been on various anti-depressants at different times. I've also gone through a 4-month term of cognitive behavioural therapy with a psychiatrist. I'm not sure why, but the last couple of weeks have been very difficult.

We were away overnight last night, went to a play at Stratford and had a nice dinner out... I should be happy today, but instead, I cried in the car all the way home. My husband tries very hard to help, but he really doesn't know what to do.

I think there is definitely a connection between depression and over-eating; I know that when I'm unhappy I tend to over-eat.

Hang in there; talk to your doctor, and take good care of yourself.

It's good that you can identify your sadness, Sylvia. There's lots of us out here who are here to support you and truly care about you even if we've never met you. Some days are really difficult to battle the blues. I find even a short walk can help, being around someone who cares - usually I just tell my hunny to be near me because I usually don't want to talk, just want him near me. A bubble bath, a manicure, a swim, a little sunlight, a photo album filled only with photos that always make me smile. I hope your day improves - sending you all good thoughts :) emoticon

Sorry you're feeling so down. Some days are just like that, aren't they? It's good you have a supportive, loving husband though. Hope you get some decent sleep, that would probably help you feel better.
