Sept 1 is the new Jan 1?

Friday, September 02, 2011

Let's call this New Me Day instead of New Year's Day. I spoke with my dance teacher yesterday and worked out a deal to take more classes at her facility this fall.

I have been driving to the Y and other facilities to get my classes in, now they're all in one convenient place . . . because she got both of Y teachers to come work for her, too! She gave me a great family package deal that for one VERY REASONABLE price will cover the classes that my mom, my niece and I take at her facility. Right now, she's a relatively new studio. She worked out of her garage last year and this is her first year in an actual studio. She's building her entourage of teachers and students and she is more interested in building clientele than charging full price. I approached her about a deal and she was very amenable to working something out.

Monday nights I'll be in ballroom with my beloved.

Tue nights I'll be in belly dance! I had started this a while back but the schedule at the Y was inconvenient. Since the same instructor agreed to teach at Miss Bridgette's, I can make it work financially and time-wise!

Wed nights I'll be in tap dance with my mom.

(Thur nights I'll either take the night off or enjoy yoga.)

Fri nights I'll be in clogging with my mom.

The classes are earlier and close to both my house and the facility where I take Zumba so I'll be free to take nearly every zumba class offered as well. No more scheduling conflicts. This fall is going to ROCK!

I'm so looking forward to all the fun I'm going to have, all the new things I will learn, and having more energy / being better fit.

Pop the champagne! Here's to new beginnings. emoticon

And, yeah, I know it's Sept 2 - but I struck the deal yesterday. I'm just getting around to bragging and cheering about it today!

I am dying to take belly dancing and it will be the first thing that I will do when the dust finally settled. I think it really puts you in touch with your sensuality and sexuality.
And does amazing things for the body. One of my friends took belly dancing to loose her baby weight.
Well it looks like your evenings are going to be a lot of fun. I am glad you are doing ballroom with your boyfriend.
The Jewish New Year starts in September so in one tradition your timing is right on.

    Lucky you! emoticon

Dancing is exercise plus fun attached--have a great time.

I took Bellydancing about 35 years ago and I loved it. It makes you feel so feminine and graceful. Would it be silly for a 59 year old to give it another try?

    Take care emoticon
