August Goals

Extra pounds had been sneaking on, and I kept saying I needed to get them back off and get back within my maintenance range. But I never did set a SPECIFIC goal, nor did I re-set my trackers for weight loss, rather than maintenance. I did not lose those extra pounds, so this is something I need to do for September. As for my fitness goal, it was to walk 50 miles during the month. I exceeded that goal by walking a total of 75.45 miles during August. I need to keep reminding myself to reward the goals met and not dwell on the scale results!

    Specific goal setting is a great idea. I think, for me, that I need to make very small goals. The first, for me, will be to weigh under 140 pounds. And tomorrow I'm gonna weigh in and adjust my weight to what it actually is. I like your honesty about your weight (and admire that in you). Now, let's set some September goals.

    So true!! Congrats on exceeding your mileage goal and good luck with September's goal to get back into maintenance mode. I'm hoping September is my month to get back on track, too. August certainly was more of a struggle than I imagined it would be. BUT, it's over and done with, right - movin' on!!
