I'm here, really....and smiling

I've been so busy lately. Schooling all six children with two different curriculi is tough for me this year. I know that I just need to find my groove. I know that I love homeschooling them (and I think they enjoy it, too). I know I love seeing them grow. And so I press on...trying to keep that smile going all the way. I try to laugh instead of cry, give hugs instead of that stern look at times, I count my blessings instead of complain about what's not going right!

I am thankful that I was able to get a walk in yesterday with Rebekah, and boy, it felt good to get out and just do that. Hope to do it again tomorrow.

My garden is nearing the end of its growing season. The canteloupe are coming in...we've had two so far, small but oh so good. My tomatoes are starting to ripen and I'm not sure I'm going to have time to can like I planned. Well, that just means others will be on the receiving end of the extras. emoticon

The older three are still playing ball. Rebekah is playind double headers on Saturdays and Sundays and the boys have their football games on Sunday. Thankfully, my dh helps with football practice, it helps that he's assistant coach. emoticon

Life is good, no matter what, there are always blessings to count!!! Take time to make a list and thank God for them (especially if you're going through a difficult time right now)! Love you guys! I'll check in when I can. emoticon

I'm sure you'll find your groove and just then something else will get thrown in the mix and you be rebalancing again, but isn't that what keeps life interesting?!?!?!

I'm sure you will find your groove! As kids get older and are involved in more activities, life gets very hectic! Doesn't it? Laughing is good. So is taking a break when needed. And counting your blessings is vital. God knows our struggles and will help us every step of the way!

I sure have been thinking about you and hoping that things start to move more smoothly for you and the kids with school. You're such a wonderful mother to be able to offer this for your children...they're getting such an incredible education because of what you're able to put into it. I truly admire you for this! Hang in there girl because I know you will all get it worked out. You "always" have such a positive attitude and with that you can do anything!!! Don't overwhelm yourself...just take it one day at a time!

You'll find your rhythm!. :) It is so nice to be able to share these years with the kids. Wouldn't trade them for anything.

And just freeze the tomatoes whole. You can take them and can them or make sauce or whatever later when you have the time. The peels will even come off easily!

I'm just starting walking again, and tonight was soccer and football. Better to have a full life now than empty!

Glad you are wading through it all and finding joy along the journey. We got our school going again this week and now we will take off until Wednesday as we're traveling to visit family. At least we got the cobwebs dusted off the ol' brains!
