Today after my run at the gym I used a foam roller for the first time on my quads, hamstrings, and calves. I had watched a SP video on how to use it to prevent or reduce soreness. I think it helped.

I'm extra excited about my 5K on Saturday as my 25 year old niece is going to run it with me. That will make it extra fun! Wonder if her fiance will come to watch and support. That would be good, too. We'll see.

    My family loves the foam roller. Even the boys use it after soccer training. I have definitely found it reduces soreness!

    Good for you thinking of a different way to keep you stretched and loosened up after your runs!! I read about them on Sparks and it looked interesting in the video. That is great about your niece, you will have a workout buddy to keep up with and keep motivated! I hope the fiance does come and take photos too, a hint wouldn't hurt!
