I had a bad day...

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

So, today I pick up the pieces from a complete downhill slide yesterday. I went to the movies with the full intention of having a small un-buttered popcorn as a scheduled less than healthy splurge and that turned into a complete binge day full of ice cream fried taquitos and pink lemonade. Note to self... theater popcorn is a trigger food, avoid like the plague! I am a little disappointed in myself however; I am starting fresh today and am not going to cry over spilled milk/lemonade? The binge may affect my weight this week but I am making lifestyle changes and that can't be changed or unraveled because of one day's poor choices

Exactly!! One day is only one day. By deciding that that's how you are going to view it and keeping moving forward, you've already made a significant lifestyle change! emoticon

Don't beat yourself up! We all have slip-ups.

Besides, your body doesn't work like a bank account, with cut-off times and clear-cut deposits/withdrawals. It takes overeating daily over a period of time to put on weight.

So don't despair and don't let yourself feel too bad. I like the way you're making a mental note of the theater popcorn thing; that means you're learning from your past and moving forward, which is awesome!

Make sure you don't cut your calories severely to "make up" for the theater thing, though. Just keep on doing what you've been doing!
