Oh, there YOU are!

The other night before bed I was reflecting that sometimes because of the stigma and shame put onto those of us who are not societies definition of "perfect", we sometimes lose ourselves to the feelings of despair and shame. In doing so we lose ourselves. We forget who we are. We forget what we can accomplish. We forget we can be loved (and love others). We forget our self-worth. We forget we are beautiful. But most of all we cannot see for ourselves for who WE are.
Which brought me to an odd thought pattern (my thought paths are always a little scattered):
In the movie Hook, the Lost Boys don't believe Peter Banning is Peter Pan, but Pockets touches his face and finally recognizes him “Oh, there you are, Peter”
I hope when you see your own image of who YOU are and what YOU are capable of, whether it is before, during or after your journey, you recognize yourself and say “OH, THERE YOU ARE!”
