HM Training - Day 9

I have been on a mini vacation in Cleveland and the beautiful country south of Cleveland for several days. But I did not let a little vacation get in the way of my training. As I committed to before I left, I moved my Saturday long run to Sunday. The weather in Cleveland was beyond delightful - 60 in the morning with afternoon highs in the high 70's. No humidity to speak of. So I slept in a bit on Sunday to recover from a day of travel and then 5 hours at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Once I was up, I strapped on my garmin to record my distance and speed, grabbed my water bottle and headed out. I ran down to Lake Erie and make a circle around the Port of Cleveland to the R&R Hall of Fame and then around the cleveland browns stadium. I made this loop 3 times to get my 6 miles in. It was a wonderful run! Then on Monday, I did a short 2 mile recovery run on the treadmill since we were not in an area conducive to outdoor running.
I am feeling super excited for tomorrow's 5 mile speedwork run. This is my first speedwork workout and I'm excited to start getting my times a bit faster.
I also invited my parents to visit for Thanksgiving and to watch my race.
