DAY 5 of kicking the sugar habit

Day 5...messed up and went over 50g of sugar. But, it was a special day! My daughter's 16th birthday party. She and her friend made these awesome cupcakes. And I don't feel guilty for trying two of them throughout the course of the day. Just wished I could have remembered to not DRINK any calories! That is a weakness of mine. But I did stay away from the soda. So that's a victory! And I didn't eat many chips, either. So, that's a victory...especially for me.

Okay, so now the rubber meets the road...16th Birthday Parties are quite a challenge. I did not come away unscathed. But, it could have been worse. And I didn't eat as much during the day to make up for it.

    its such a process...i had given up sugar and any processed white carbs for a week completely and lost 5 lbs right away..Good for you that you are making headway and trying to balance the intake... emoticon emoticon
