8/26/11...A Day Late

Saturday, August 27, 2011

Well I fell asleep on here posting stuff last night and did not get done all I had wanted to, so I am posting now. I am doing the BLC17 challenge. Part of our weekend challenge is to blog what we ate and what we did as far as our workout.
STEPS WALKED: 6192
MILES WALKED: 2.93
TIME: 63 minutes

Plus I work where I lift people several times a day, so I definitely got some strength training in as well. I was going to walk when I got home, but I was so tired (obviously, as I fell asleep posting everything on here last night, lol).

As far as meeting my calorie range...I can never even reach the low end of my calorie range. If I eat that many calories I feel sick. I also feel like I have to eat stuff I shouldn't eat just to try to come CLOSE to my low end of the calorie range. Now, granted yesterday was not the norm...I never eat that little. I usually eat around 1200-1300 calories a day. Yesterday was just so hectic. But I honestly did eat when I was hungry. And I only ate until I was no longer hungry. I don't like feeling overly full.

I definitely did not get in my 5 freggies last night. This is not normal for me. I usually have way more than the 5 servings a day.

Today will be a better day. I am getting ready to head to the store now to get my food for the day. I will post tonight for what I did today.

*On another note...nothing to do with my BLC17 challenge...I will be having surgery next Wednesday to take care of the problem I have been having. I went for a second opinion on Thursday since my GYN didn't seem to be concerned or thinkj it abnormal. He said I have what is called endomyosis and he is doing an ablasion to take care of it. He said if this doesn't work, he will do a hysterectomy and that WILL take care of it all together. WOO HOO!!! Finally!!! Some relief in sight. It just stinks, as when I weigh in, I know there is a lot of water retention going on and it shows in my weight. So I have to log that weight as my weight...which really stinks. But hopefully after next week, this will no longer be a problem.

    Good job, girl! :)

Don't forget that getting enough sleep is essential for weight loss. If I'm not sleeping well, the scale tells me. :/

Ablation is a WONDERFUL thing! I used to go through a superplus tampon plus an overnight maxi with wings in 1 hour, and I was bleeding for 2 weeks at a time with less than a week in between. Since I had my ablation, I haven't had a period since November! I feel so free! No debilitating cramps or worrying about if my clothes are okay.

Wishing and praying for your successful surgery.

Just a thought .... but, you should try to reach your calorie range. It probably will make it easier for you to lose weight. Otherwise, your body tends to go into "starvation mode." Maybe try some protein foods like peanut butter or nuts as snacks during the day.

Prayers to you and to the hands that are conducting your surgery. I know the feeling when your body fights against you. Things will work out. Do your best to hit those low-end calorie ranges and you'll be fine. I know it can be difficult because I too find things with will even out the numbers but I don't always struggle because I'm a homeschooling housewife- I have the time to make my day menu at the start of the day, squeezing in snacks and stuff! Maybe a help to you could be to plot out your meals and snacks the night before, so you know ahead of time what you're having? I know, it doesn't work for everyone. Especially those who work because of parties, going out for lunch, etc.

Regardless, find what works for you and run with it. I wish my Gyn would take my uterus! I've been fussing for days but she says I'm still too young to go through a SHOCK with menopause. Problem is, I"m already showing signs of it early due to my hormones going bezerk from my thyroid! I know your pain- Oh, and I had both tubes removed! I'm a wreck LOL

Anyway, good luck to you and I hope to see a happier blog next go-round! Have a good weekend.
