End of the Summer

Friday, August 26, 2011

Well here it is, another blog entry. I know it has been another 2ish months since I have posted a blog on here but that doesn't mean I haven't been working hard emoticon

I lost a ton of weight in the spring semester of college and it started to creep back up a bit during finals because I was stressed and there was a lot going on. Not a good excuse, I know but I am all done with excuses now anyways. I sat down about a month ago and made a list of every single excuse I use and counteracted it with reasons as to why they aren't valid at all. I will post them up some time in the near future.

Anyways, over the summer I managed to bring my weight right back down close to where it was right before finals time. (only 2 more lbs until I hit where I was). This has all been done by just eating well! I spent 3 months of my summer in England. I jogged a little bit here and there but overall I was just very conscious about what I was eating and how much. I can't wait to see what kind of results I will get once I am eating well AND get back to the gym!

I am so much looking forward to starting another year in college. I feel fresh and ready to tackle everything head on. Maybe partly because I just recently got a new job! I am now going to be an online ESL teacher working for a company called OpenEnglish right from the comfort of my own dorm room! I will be paid A LOT more than my college dining hall paid and it requires no physical work so I won't be so drained out when it comes time to going to the gym or studying.

Recently (within the last few days) I decided that even though I am good at being conscious of what I eat and how much I thought it would be time to give the Nutrition Tracker a try. So far, I really do like it, but let's see how consistent I manage to stay with it once college starts up and I get busy again. I am thinking about making that one of my new Spark goals.

That's all for today guys. Hope everyone is doing well and taking it one day at a time to becoming closer to your goals!

Yeah that's definitely true. Despite being exhausted from the first day of classes today I do feel fresh and energetic emoticon

Congrats on the ESL work - that sounds perfect, plus it will give you additional experience you can add to your resume, which is something that I suspect dining hall work wouldn't really do, lol...

I think September is a great time to revamp and reboot your goals and plans. There's something about the whole new-school-year thing that jumpstarts motivation, IMHO!
