Skipping my weekly weigh-in today and here's why...

I have decided not to go to the Dr. today for my weekly weigh-in today. I will go back next Monday though. Reason being, over the weekend I was cleaning out my dressing room and realized that I have gone down 3 pant sizes since January 17th. WOOHOO! I want to be able to feel good about this success and if the scale hasn't moved much this past week I don't want to feel badly about it. Interestingly, my trainers have been telling me to pay more attention to my measurements and how my clothes fit rather than rely on the scale. They have told me that they see a big difference in my shape but all I remain focused on is the # on the scale.
This week I am going to resist the urge to weigh myself, continue on with healthy eating and working out each day and know that I am moving in the right direction whatever the scale would say. This is going to be difficult, I'm not going to lie b/c the scale has been my PROOF of success. However, now I have one pair of pants (the largest size I was in January) that I kept and if I'm feeling like I haven't made any progress, I can just put those on and actually see it.
I still wish my weight loss was more consistent week by week but I have to learn to focus on the activities and behaviors and trust that it will all work itself out in the end.
