the time is NOW!

Monday, August 22, 2011

Okay, I know that I have greater success when I write things down, jot notes on what I've done right and wrong--ie eating too much junk, not enough protein, exercising too little--so why haven't I been doing it? I will blame it all on being just too darn lazy and lazy is what happens when I don't eat right and get enough protein so I have the energy to do something besides just sit and read or play games. I've been telling myself for 5 months to get in gear and now that my trainer has moved out of state it is time to really push myself and quit waiting for it to just happen. I know my daughter and husband are NOT going to help or even encourage me, but will be doing their best to sabotage my efforts so I have to have lots of friends elsewhere to egg me on.

Starting right now, I've had my healthy breakfast, have my water next to me and it is time to get my things together for water aerobics which is then followed by Body Vive which is kind of a dance class that is easier on the body than Zumba or Body Jam. It's kind of designed for older folks who can't swing it like we used to. I tried it 2 weeks ago and enjoyed it so I will try again today. Hoping it doesn't do any more damage to the back than I already have with the scoliosis (arthritis caused).

It is time for some real results starting right now!

I know what you mean! It is so easy for me to be lazy too! You figure that most of us have come from a non exercise background (I know I did) and we ate when we wanted and what we wanted. It is really hard to change our lifestyle. But, it is something we have to do in order to live a long and healthy life! emoticon
