Starting Over

Friday, August 19, 2011

I'm a very large lady. I've spent more than half of my life being overweight. I've dieted several times, and I've always failed. Here I am, again. Back at square one. I hope that this is the last time I have to start over. I've purchased a few items to help me along this journey. I bought some work out clothes, a pair of Sketchers walking shoes, a high capacity scale, an Ab Doer Twist, some little handheld weights, a pedometer, a yoga mat, a kettle bell, and a reusable water bottle. I'm armed with the right tools for the job, and this site should help me stay on track. Now, I just need to stay motivated to use all of my tools. I pray that I will.

I agree, small goals are a lot more easy to manage. Are you going to reward yourself for certain milestones? Keep up your determination and know that the journey is going to be hard... but that you can do it and come out healthier and stronger for it! emoticon

The best thing I ever learned here was the importance of setting small, manageable goals. In the past I always became overwhelmed at the enormity of all the pounds I had to lose and gave up.

    Good luck to you!
