Time to re-commit!

Well, here we are in mid-August. I had my foot/achilles surgery on May 27th. It has been a slow 3 months of recovery. I was determined to try not to gain back ANY weight after my surgery, even though my activity level would plummet. Well, my lowest weight right before surgery was 136.5. Today, I weighed in at 138.9. SO I have gained just over 2 lbs... sigh. I guess not bad considering my activity level went from 6 days a week of at least an hour... to almost nothing!

But, now that I am almost through physical therapy and can start bike riding and walking (albeit slow and not too far yet), AND I am back on the serious healthy diet... meaning no more french fries (just this once) or chips (because it's been so long!). I will have those again, but not for the next few months... or if I do, I will do a lot less. I would really like to lose about 5 more lbs before my wedding in November!

SO, today, I had my high fiber ceral and fruit for breakfast, I brought homemade tomatoe/basil soup and a few romaine leaves that I will put a few slices of low-sodium turkey breast , tomato and avocado in... I have some carrot sticks and pistachios for afternoon snack... I have physical therapy right after work, and it is date night with my fiance!!! We usually cook something healthy together and go for a walk (now that I can walk!!) with the doggie... and talk about our wedding, and life... I can't wait!

Well, back to work. I hope anyone who reads this is happy and healthy... or well on their way!
