Peanut is doing better after the steroid shots! :)

Wednesday, August 17, 2011

Yesterday after Peanut's first shot, he slept most of the day. Yesterday evening he woke up and was just about normal! Not lethargic and not seeming to be in any pain. This morning I have trouble trying to keep him from sitting on his hind legs (begging, which he does all the time for any reason at all).
Anyhow, I am still keeping him from going up and down stairs, as well as from any other jumping or strenuous activity. He had his second shot today and tomorrow he has one more. After that I just have to try to keep him relatively calm for two weeks.
I feel soooo much better today (because Peanut feels soooo much better). Thanks again to all the well-wishers! emoticon

My dod has a herniated disc and we were ready to have him put down 3 yrs ago. He couldn't do steps to get outside and if anyone tried to pick him up he would bite( he is not a biter, but it was probably due to the pain.) He had oral steroids and was like new in 3 days and has had no problems since.

Glad to hear that he is doing better after the shots, but how did they keep him still for him to get them? I know that it is hard to keep a child still for that but a dog? emoticon

I am so happy for you !

I pulled my hamster from the jaws of death this week, with a lot of care and some major prayers !!

She had a second bout of the dreaded wet tail which kills them quite quickly, and as she is already quite old, I was not overly optomistic that she could be saved.

I am happy to report for an old lady hamster, she is back to enjoying her food and her spark is back !

Get well soon Peanut !!!!! emoticon

So glad to hear that your pet is doing better. When our pets don't feel good, it definitely affects my mood. Our pets are so important to us. Hope that Peanut keeps improving and feels back up to speed soon. Go Peanut!!
