Scales are bad..

I've been told that soon the scale will be my friend. but right now it isn't budging despite all my calorie and fitness errors. One person says that I'm gaining muscle vs. fat and hope she is right. I'll be honest despite the scale numbers I am sleeping ok at night since starting to exercise.. I want to go longer on the elliptical but hoping as some of the weight comes off, my back and knees will be better able to handle things. It is a little frustrating at times, but I feel like I am making progress and positive changes. My short term goal is still to do 10 minutes on the elliptical by the end of August..ouch that is only a couple weeks away.. I'm still wondering if I can do it.
