Things have been crazy busy here in my world lately. Soccer is in full swing and my daughter is loving every minute of it. It is amazing to see how much energy she has during these games and practices. It is like she is the energizer bunny..... she keeps going and going....
Here is a picture of her at her last game. Her team ended up winning 6 to 2 and Kacie scored one of the goals!
Football is also in full swing. I haven't been able to make it out to my sons practices yet because of other things that I am running around to. He is hoping to make quarterback again this year and he just looks so darn cute in his gear.....
I love football season so it will be fun to start attending games again. Our highschool team has also been out practicing. Always fun to watch!
I have been busy finishing up my training for my first duathlon. It is getting closer! My friend and I did some training on Saturday morning. We biked 7.45, ran 2.0, and then biked another 7.45 to finish a good 16.90 miles. TONS of HILLS..... our 2 miles of running was all hills and the biking was rolling hills as well. Let me tell you that it is not easy running after biking. I felt like I was running very weird. It took a good mile to get my running legs adjusted. The biking after running was cake! With our transition times (which took a little longer than we wanted 4.25 and then 3.0) we finished this in 1:36. Not too bad for a training run. I need to start wearing my helmet though so I can get used to it before the race. I am not a bike helmet kind of girl even though I know it is good for me and I make my kids wear one.
I tried a new leg exercise yesterday! It came from a trainer and a great way to work your legs. All you need is a exercise step with risers or stairs will work too. Start off in a lunge position and then take the back lunged leg and step up on the raised step. Then the other leg goes into a ham string curl. I did 3 sets of 10 on each leg. Great workout!
And for my Twilight Team (Team Edward).... I'll leave you with some eye candy...... Only 92 more days until Breaking Dawn!
