Staying Positive :)

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

So I'm totally new to this blogging thing so please just bare with me lol. The last couple of days I have completely fell off the wagon. Still watching my food intake but very limited to exercise..I bought the hubby a Kayak for his birthday and did manage to try it out yesterday for a couple of minutes but no where near what I should have and feeling quite down on myself for it .

The hubby is off for the next couple of weeks on vacation and I'm thinking that this will be the true test weather or not I will be able to stick to my healthy ways.I love him to the moon and back but unlike him I cannot eat whatever whenever lol.

We have a couple of things planned to do during the next 2 weeks so hoping of bringing snack with us so I won't be as tempted. Luckily one of those ventures involves visiting hubby's sister which is doing this weight loss, healthy living lifestyle also so she will be a great support and has been since I started.

Well hubby is finally up and playing with the boy so I think i will try to do some eliptical .
Have a great day and thanks for reading to all that took the time :)

Great first blog! I had never blogged before SP - and I've been surprised at how much I've learned about myself through blogging.

You kayak comment "no where near what I should have" .... according to WHO? To me, you getting in a kayak counts as a huge success! You made the effort. You got IN the kayak. You were not on the couch. One step forward! Woot!

Seriously, telling yourself those kinds of negative things makes you LESS likely, not more likely, to get out there again. Getting out there again & again & again & again is what will give you the results you want. So look at every step forward as progress & celebrate ALL progress. Through counting your NSV's (non-scale victories), you build motivation to create more NSV's.
