I was always looking for the quick fix for weight loss. What I was doing was a lot of talking and very little doing. I will be honest enough to say I was planning to fail. I wanted to get to certain size for an event or lose X lbs before I saw my family next. Once the event was over and the visitors gone I would go right back to the old me. It did not work because my heart was not in it. I found that I must encourage, a support and respect the person I spend 24/7 with. Food was a numbing agent since I did not value myself. Margaret Thatcher said "You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." For 25 years I put this weight on and kept add to it. Sometimes, I think this is going to thing is going to slow. Reality is at an average weight loss of 1-2 per week I have minimum of 40+ week to Goal. My next size down is the one I wore in the 8th grade. I am looking forward to so many things to celebrate along the way. Slowly is the way to appreciate the journey. Life is good! Treat yourself right.
