Week 1 Results

Maybe blogging will help me stay on track, so here it is. It's good to know one can always start over again. This has been an interesting week ending with a lost of one pound.

Last weekend, I listened to a guy on public television talking about health and wellness. He really lit a fire under me. It has made the difference in my being on track this week. Believe it or not, I had another chance to see a repeat of the same show this week, which made it better.

This week hasn't been perfect, as you can tell by the one pound loss. One thing that I did different was eat a lot of salads. The second thing was sticking to two tablespoons of dressing. Another thing was trying to count fat grams as I try to decrease my cholesterol levels.

Hopefully, I can become more focused as the weeks go by. My plans are to make sure and use the nutrition tracker. So, off I go onto week 2.

    Even small changes in our old routines helps get us closer to our new goals. Take it one day at a time, one meal at a time. emoticon

    Way to go! A good positive outlook is always a plus. Sometimes we find encouragement in the last place we expect it. It sounds like the TV program really hit the spot and was something you needed to keep motivated.

    for me, my motivation has come in losing not-so-much weight, but losing inches. It has encouraged me to tighten the reins on my low sodium diet so instead of having 2 or 3 days where I didn't stick to it, this past week I only had 1 day. and this coming week, I plan to have 7 days straight of eating low sodium.
