Worth the weight (loss)

Friday, August 12, 2011

After losing 20 pounds, I decided that it was time to give myself a mini-reward. I figured it would be something to entice myself to push my workouts harder. I found this dress online that would be perfect to wear to work (I'm starting a new job next week) and purchased it in a size smaller (14 as opposed to 16) than I normally wear. Here's the dress: www.torrid.com/torrid/Cl

I'm down one size and I'm pretty close to being down another size so I figured that it shouldn't take me long to reach my mini goal. The dress arrived three days after I ordered it (Torrid is really, really fast with their online orders) and my co-worker insisted that I try it on in the bathroom. We always do that when we order clothes online. It's fun to play dress-up/fashion show at work during our otherwise monotonous days. So, with trepidation I went to try on the dress, knowing it would be tight and it would be embarrassing to come out to show my co-worker. I struggled a bit getting it over my chest when I realized that I needed to undo the belt. After that it slid right on. It fit perfectly! I was so excited to come out and show her. She said it looked super cute and I have to agree. I would have taken a photo but it was pretty wrinkly from being in the package.
Anyway, I'm really excited that it fits already but I guess I'll have to purchase another dress in an even smaller size for my next mini-reward since I already achieved this one. Oh, and a side note, the dress has one of those hidden zippers on the side and I didn't even notice it; I was able to get the dress on without undoing it. Such an awesome feeling!
