Keiran's fever is still coming and going, but at least it's more going than coming at the moment. We've become quiet proficient in hiding the tylenol and motrin in drinks, food, or whatever else necessary to get him to take them so the fever will stay down. I'm so exhausted from having to carry him around and stay up with him since he's in baby mode still. :(
This week seems to have dragged on so much that it doesn't feel like tomorrow should be Friday. The weather has been hit and miss with the storms, which definitely hasn't helped with my energy levels!
Somehow I did manage to get in 5 miles with Walk Away the Pounds - I just finished up. Getting up before the kids backfired - Keiran woke up just after 6 screaming (less than 15 mins before my alarm went off), which in turn woke Daisha up. I'm glad I managed to get kind of workout done since I've been fighting to stay awake all day.
We had Meet the Teacher at Daisha's school tonight. I absolutely LOVE her 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Parnell. She will have one of her friends from the apartments in her class, as well as several kids from her class last year who she was friends with. She is so excited!! Her teacher was thrilled that I offered to be Class Mom. As the kids get older, it seems to get harder to keep the parents involved. Apparently 2nd grade is where the enthusiasm from parents starts to decline. I'm excited because it will finally give me the chance to get to know more of her classmates and their parents. I didn't get to help at school much last year since so much of my time went into Girl Scouts as a leader. I'm not going to be a leader this year, just a member of our troop's Parent Committee.
I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of the school year. I'll be baby-sitting for one of Daisha's Girl Scout friends on Mondays for a couple of hours after school. It will be a girl Daisha's age (they'll be doing homework together) and her newborn baby sister. YAY! I'll get my baby fix without having to have another one (which I can't do anyway). On Wednesdays I'll just have the oldest after school. She'll go to Girl Scouts with us and be picked up from there. It's going to be a fun school year! Bring on Monday!!!
