Hot for Halloween 100 day challenge-day 20

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Huzzah! I weighed myself this morning and am at 261.4#! emoticon I'm getting so close to where I dipped briefly when I became active on this site again! I reached 258 and some tenths of a pound about a month ago, but I didn't stay long. I have a bad habit of seeing my success on the scale and thinking I can eat whatever I want, but I've been breaking this with the Hot for Halloween challenge. If I lose another pound, I get my first reward of a nice bouquet of flowers! I'm so close, I can smell that sweet floral fragrance now. LOL I went over my sodium allowance today, so I hope that I won't retain too much water tomorrow. I've been chugging water to help flush it out of me. Its ok, though. I've been doing so well that I won't be dashed by whatever that darn scale says tomorrow. My weekly weight tracking and measuring is tomorrow, so I'll see how much progress I've made. Looking in the mirror, I can see that I'm getting slimmer. Thanks to SP, I created a new cookbook of the Low-Fat Versions of Favorite Foods. I think if I make one of these a week, it will feel like I'm cheating when I'm actually not! emoticonIn addition to my cardio, I did some scrubbing on a dirty fridge in a vacant apartment for about two hours. BTW I work for my landlords doing things like this, so its a normal thing whenever people move. That's how I've been paying my rent, being unemployed for nearly 11 months now. Too bad they don't have enough work for me to pay all of my bills! Again, I'm so glad this challenge came along at the perfect time, and I feel like I'm really benefiting. Also, my bf has said that he now wants to "go on a diet" and lose that eight-month baby bulge he's been carrying. Maybe I've inspired him, even though he hasn't admitted it. I also owe myself two dollars in my reward jar for the last two workouts I did, but I don't have any more money to put in there. Its just an I.O.U. for now. Oh, well. I wonder how many more interviews I'll have before I get a job that will help me pay my bills? For now, I'm just glad I'm losing weight and getting healthy. emoticon T.T.F.N. emoticon

I did the same thing when I lost weight the last time, and I wound up gaining 15 lbs. Don't lull yourself into a false sense of security because it will cause you to make choices you wouldn't otherwise make. Look at the scale, smile, and think how you'll feel when it says 248 on it :)
