Skinny Clothes

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

I am now just starting to fit into sizes 18-20 after starting out in sizes 26-28. It feels SO good to fit into smaller clothes again!!! I am glad I saved my most favorite 'skinny' clothes, like the bell bottoms from my wedding! I should be wearing them on a regular basis, this fall!

It has been super hard to let go of the 'fat' clothes though! I never have let them go in the past because I figured I would fail and would need them again. I am taking away that excuse this time. :D

I was able to sell a few clothes but most of the time I have been donating them. I wish some could be donated to me! I don't buy a lot of clothing right now and haven't bought anything new, other than unmentionables and a swimsuit for aerobics water classes.

I plan to reward myself with something extra special, clothing-wise, when I reach my goal weight. You won't find it at Wal-K-Targ stores either! lolol

Great blog! I can relate to this so much. I got rid of things in the past and then had to get new clothes. Now I am keeping what is a little tight since I don't like baggy clothes that can be uncomfortable. I did get rid of really BIG clothes though and that was a good feeling.
Keep up the good work and you will feel so great. You are doing fabulous.
Each week I am trying to do more exercise since my knee surgery and it does
feel so GOOD to be back into the swing of things. I am hoping to lose more weight and feel great by FALL.
Keep motivated and Keep sparkin! We are all on this journey together and it sure helps to know we are not alone.

Thank you all who commented! I AM buying clothes now, that make me feel good and that I look good in! They are all used though and I DO look forward to buying new, once this journey of the weight loss part, has leveled out. That should happen around Christmas time. Hmmmm, I WONDER what I will ask Santa for? lol

Give 'em away... get something that fits now, in between that just plain "feels good" to you. Because you're worth it NOW... the really great outfit for goal? Fine... but you're worth dressing well today, too!

You're doing great! emoticon emoticon emoticon

That is so wonderful when you see such significant success!! Good for you!! I volunteer with a thrift store/food bank and those donations are important. Your generosity helps so many others. Thank you!

I agree that some nice clothes are well deserved - have a fun picking them out and I wish you continued success. YAHOO!

LOL I know what you mean! I wish someone would give me some clothes too. I hate to have to buy new stuff until I get to my goal weight but baggie clothes make me feeling sloppy. So I have just bought a couple of cheap outfits to hold me over.

I just got out of 18/20's and gave them to my sister. If you lived near me I would share with you. emoticon I FINALLY got out of Plus sizes and it feels weird to me. I have been in them for so long. sigh. It is kind of scary to have to shop in a different section. BUT I will get used to it!!! LOL I thought I would be excited (and I am) but it is still scary to have to find another style. I was so used to "hiding" all the fat parts and not buying stuff because it showed my fat arms or fat butt. This is a new freedom to get to "show some skin" but it is still scary. LOL

Well enjoy your success and GIVE away those too big clothes ,it will feel GOOD!! I know we always want to hang of to them but I have learned that I try harder if I dont have them to fall back on. LOL Maybe keep on outfit to use for a before and after picture.

Thanks for the "goodie"!! It made me smile. My grandson is starting to notice the world around him and I am sure he would love that pinwheel! He loves colors.
