Starting Over with The Spark....

Well, I decided to start my Spark from the beginning. I have changed my goals and hopefully these changes Spark me to continue with my weight loss success...and keep me motivated to keep Sparkin my way through any struggles in my life.

The first change I made was to revamp my Fast Break Goals. My Nutritional goal is to pack my lunch 3 days a week...which is something I normally do anyhow. By packing my own HEALTHY lunch for work, I not only save calories, but also save money by not ordering takeout. My Fitness goal is to exercise 10 minutes a day. This was the one goasl Chris started out with and it changed his life....and now I am using this goal to change mine. My Motivational goal is to post a message on the Message Boards. By doing this, it will hopefully keep me motivated to continue with my journey.

I have also incorporated a daily time plan. I will log onto SparkPeople twice daily: 10:30am-11:30am and 11:30pm-1:00am. My first session will consist of putting in my morning walk/run and inputting my food I will eat for the day. By doing t his, I will be less likely to "splurge" on something I really don't want or need. And my second session will be to input any exercise I did the rest of the day and post on my team pages and message boards. This will aide me in continuing to hold myself accountable...since I am the only one who can do this.

I have also changed my Long-term, Medium-term, and Short-term goals. My long-term goal is to lose 40 pounds by August 31, 2012. My medium-term goal is to 10 pounds by November 30, 2011. My short-term goal is to lose 2.5 pounds per week. By completing all of the above changes, these goals are safe, realistic, and concrete.

Hopefully by implementing all these changes, it helps keep me on track. I previously had issues with getting on here every day to do what I knew I should do. Those days are behind me. I am done having children, so there is nothing stopping me now from now from working on and obtaining my goals...but me. And by being on here and doing all I just said, sabotaging myself should not be an issue this time around.

So...to anyone who has started this program then stopped for whatever reason...then came back....you CAN do this! It doesn't matter how many setbacks you have...just keep starting over. We are all here to help you along your journey. Join teams. Ask someone to check in with you weekly just to see how you are doing. Make full use of all the resources on this site...and you WILL do GREAT!!! I tell everyone I know who is trying to lose weight or get healthy...SparkPeople is where you need to be!! So...keep Sparkin everyone!!
