Day 9 of the 17 day diet

Ok...I've been very positive over the first half of this diet but I'd like to just take a short break from all of that positivity to complain a little. This diet is getting a little old. I need to find a way to mix it up. Suggestions? My lean protein options are chicken breast, turkey breast and fish. I can season them with fat free condiments and spices. Good luck! I went to the grocery store this afternoon and found Walden farms brand fat free, calorie free alfredo sauce. I thought that might be a good way to zip up my turkey breast. Needless to say, fat free, calorie free alfredo sauce tastes as bad as it sounds. Ugh.... I'm craving simple carbs like crazy. Here is a list of things that I'm dying to eat:

Maccaroni and Cheese
Bowl of Cereal
Warm grocery store French Bread with butter....

Ok - I'm stopping there. Only 8 more days. I'm on the home stretch. At least I'm not craving beer so much.

So if your wondering if the conversation with my body helped.....no- it didn't. 3 days in a row now of no weight loss. I'm a little disappointed but I kicked up the exercise this morning. I did 70 minutes this morning and then took another 30 minutes walking my new roommate. I guess I should introduce Kiarra. She is a blue healer that I babysit occasionally. She came to stay with me and will be with me for the next week - until DH gets back coincidentally! It will be nice to have a warm body next to me in bed tonight! Even if she has 4 legs. :D

Ok - off to bed - cross your fingers for a good result on the scale tomorrow!

    If anyone can do this, you can! You are the strongest dieter I know. It will be worth it even if the scale doesn't show it. You keep talking about how you feel better and look better, that's what counts. Not a stupid number on a scale. emoticon

    Do you count your calories at all? I'm wondering what calorie range this diet puts you in, just curious. You exercise quite a bit so you don't want to have your body go in to starvation mode. When the scale rewards you, it will probably be a good loss. Hang in there, Spark Friend!
