Day 33 hcg update - I'm thinking I'm also slowing the weight loss due to being closer to goal . . . I'm increasing the drops for these last few days . . . we'll see how that goes.

Can um...we trade waists?? LOL I'm 5'7 and you're already a size 4 at 5'4 and 140 lbs. Yeah I don't think the 125 number is a realistic goal for me, I think 140-150 range would probably be more ideal but again, I have no idea because I have never been that low to ever find out how small I would be. Notice I said small vs. big? Wow that was unconscious of me but caught myself and felt totally good saying that. Don't you love the toning effect though? I'm so jealous that nothing else is moving for you except the waist. My chest is just disappearing daily...I'm like um..guys...really???

I will watch that documentary but fair warning, I usually avoid those because I get super sad when I watch those things. After college, I went to work in Brazil for two years, I was in Sao Paolo and saw the disparity between the rich and poor there - WOW. I almost cried myself to sleep daily when we used to drive by the villages. I would ask the driver not to take that route. I know denial isn't the way to handle it but I feel so overwhelmed when I see it at that level. It puts everything into perspective...

Hey thanks, Lisa! I SO need to remember that. I measured this morning and was down 1/2 inch in the waist . . . so 29 1/2 now . . . that's VERY encouraging. No change anywhere else so the hips and bust are still staying . . . but I can "see" a difference in the toning affect and I am in most of the size 4 clothes I used to be in . . . except about 3 things, which I can't zip yet (ha ha)

I know what you mean about 125. That does seem to be the "number" quite a few people have set. That makes me wonder. I'm 5'4". How tall are you?

It'll be awesome for the kids to get those iPads . . . but the discrepancy around for kids is really heartbreaking when you see it. Some start off with such a disadvantage and some are launched forward and continue to have the benefits, support, excellence in mentoring/ambiance that you wish ALL had. But then I think about some who are even worse off . . . I'm going to a movie documentary showing this Friday and then going to do another 5K in September to try to help with that. Watch the trailer at It breaks my heart.

My mom is a rock star. Really, she's an amazing woman. . . she always has been a stand out . . . with a gift of giving like NO ONE I know . . . she's brilliant, awesome with finances, charm and grace, well respected . . . and has pressed on for a number of years now as a widow with a zeal for life and others that's so selfless . . . she just doesn't have time for pity. As an adult I've grown to respect her so much! She's got her issues . . . don't we all? emoticon But, she has my heart! I hear what you're saying about her level of activeness . . . I so agree! I hope to get to be her age and to be like her in a NUMBER of ways. emoticon

    Hey Natalia!
Great news on the federal grant and heading back to school! I think teachers are awesome and that you're willing and wanting to help teach the kids who really need it. It was so funny, I was talking to my VP today and he lives in a very high school town and their schools are getting federal grants where all the students will receive no more books, all the students will receive a free ipad as a federal grant to one of the most wealthiest districts in the area. Hilarious isn't it?? I mean their parents can throw up the money needed to purchase ipads but they're getting a federal grant so they can get it for free. Amazing! Anyhow, I'm glad in your case, the money will be put to get use.
As far as the weight loss, inches Natalia, those inches...I'd rather have those inches. That's kind of the things that I'm worried about in R2, I don't know if I'll lose as much as R1 and so I'm not necessarily putting a goal weight number but a goal weight size. (I'm just thinking that'll be easier for me to handle if I never get to the 125 is that number the ideal weight goal for all women?) Is it somehow ingrained in or head, or the bmi chart but I pulled that number too when I think about the "ideal".
On another note, because things have been hectic, I haven't responded to some of your responses to my blogs. I remember one where you talked about your mom. Can I just say once I get to her age...I HOPE I'm as active as she is?? Good for her!!
