August goals
Tuesday, August 02, 2011
I was proud of myself last night. I didn't get home from work until 8:30 last night (the first of the month is a real bugger at work), and was hoping to exercise. Of course, as soon as I walked in the door, I just wanted to fall on the couch and eat ice cream. Luckily, the hubby kept gently prodding me to head to the basement to work out, and once he started putting on his workout clothes, I felt guilted enough to go with him. So glad I did! I told myself I could do a shorter workout, but once I got started, I got into it. I did some extra sets during strength training and the full 30 minutes on the bike. Felt so much better - it helps so much that we are finally pushing each other! (and yes, I, ahem, still got in the ice cream and time on the couch - but it's homemade ice cream, doesn't that make it ok???? LOL).
So anyway, August goals:
1. 900 fitness minutes
(I keep coming so close on this one, I need to blow it away this month!)
2. Cook at least two meals a week.
(The hubs won't eat anything vegetarian, so when I cook, it's just for me. One entree gives me 4-6 meals, and I freeze anything I can't eat that week).
3. Eat out only 3-4 times a week
(roughly 2 lunches out, and two meals out on the weekend)
I really need to focus on eating better. I'm beginning to get more consistent in working out, but I need to eat better foods so that I'm properly fueled.
Make it a sparkly August!
