Weekend in Review

Monday, August 01, 2011

I had a busy weekend. We packed up our kids and took off to San Francisco.
San Francisco is about 4 1/2 hours from my house, so that was a lot of sitting. We got out a few times and stretched. We packed some snacks for the road, which is better than fast food.

When we got there, we walked along the Pier area. We took the Rocketboat ride along the bay from Pier 39. The kids had a blast. I ate a delicious fish sandwich at a restaurant at the Pier. Did LOTS of walking. Checked out Chinatown. The kids had a BLAST.

After San Francisco, we got a hotel out in the east bay. My husband had a tournament he was participating in on Sunday. It felt so good to rest. The kids swam a bit, but the water was too cold for me, so I just sat back and enjoyed the evening.

Sunday, we checked out, dropped the hubby off, then off the kids and I went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. We walked, and walked and walked. We had a great time.

Sunday evening was our drive home. Uneventful, which was perfect. We were home by 9:30, just in time for the repeat of TrueBlood.

Eating was not so great. I probably ate 6000 calories in two days. LOTS of sodium, as you know how it is to try and eat on the go.

Exercise was GREAT. I did workout at the gym at the hotel, and with all the walking done, bodybugg says I burned 7000 calories in two days.

I am up 7 pounds since 7/28. Talk about water retention!

So today it is water, water, water. 8 glasses already and it isn't even noon here.

Anyway, that's my weekend. Back to work, and back to my routine.
