Side-lined for at least 7 days

This blog is partly a whine (sorry) and partly to inform my Summer 5% Challenge team I won't be contributing too fitness minutes for at least the next 7 days. I got side-lined by a stupid injury.
I twisted my knee last Friday and had been trying to push through the pain this last week. I was wearing flip-flops (which of course the PA asked me how many times I was told not to wear them... she felt that was helpful why?) and turned my knee when I got caught on an electrical cord in my Dad's bedroom, and slipped off the back of the flip flop at an angle. Silly right? How much damage can you do falling off 1/2 an inch? Apparently more than I thought! It is the same side as my hip/joint issues that required months of therapy and a back brace. So I am on complete rest, the PA said zero fitness not even strength training for 7 days, and I have to see the Physical Therapist again to make sure I haven't damaged the SI joint any further.
I was going to blog last night after I got home, but I was too ____ (mad, disappointed, depressed,) you can fill in the blank. I had just started HIIT training to get ready for a 5K, which I now have to put on hold again. I had not gotten clearance from my Dr. on that either oops. The PA let that slide though. I think she figured one balling out per paid visit was sufficient.
Anyway, sorry fellow A Teamers. I will participate in all that I can towards the Living the Good Life portion, and will get back to fitness minutes as soon as I am cleared. I need to get my calorie counts adjusted down to compensate for less activity pronto. I went from burning 2800 calories per week to nothing ugh.
