Fit an Elephant into a Gnat's Nest??

This is what I feel I have been trying to do all week. Had the movers for 10 hours Wednesday and still the garage is full - did not make it into the townhouse.
I need to learn how to sell on E-Bay or hire someone, I definitely have to downsize!!!

I have not had a kitchen this small in since 1959. Then it was OK, because I did not have a lot of kitchen items. Right now my kitchen looks like someone set off a bomb and left. Lots of work to be done.

Was lucky I had my DD and friend to come help me pack, but I don't know where anything is, so it will be slow going. Well better get to it.

We moved into a smaller house almost two years ago, and I'm still trying to get rid of stuff! Someone told me that if I am really having trouble parting with something I don't really need, I should take a picture and get rid of the object. Sigh. Easier said than done! Blessings on your downsizing.

Down sizing is a real struggle, but you will get there. If it isn't useful or beautiful or both, get rid of it. I kept so many things for so long because of the memories associated. Know what? The memories remain even when I finally part with the macaroni covered glitter spray painted jewelry boxes or the harlequin clown dolls.

Isn't it a wonder on how much you gather. The trouble is the war between your heart and head on what you will get rid of. Good Luck.

I feel for you-we moved out of a big house into a 32 ft rv and lived in it for a couple years then a bigger rv. It was if something new came in, something old had to go out to make room for it. You learn real fast that you don't need nearly as much as you thought. You will make it, just take it 1 day at a time.
