Visible and noticeable changes (and food, and flowers)

Thursday, July 28, 2011

Today I woke up (very sore) and stumbled into the bathroom. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and almost did a double-take. My jawline is much more pronounced... as are my shoulderblades. My stomach is visibly smaller than it was just about a month ago.

I may not have been losing the most weight ever, but all of my hard work is definitely paying off. I am looking forward to the next weigh in (next Wed) because I have been really pushing hard on the cardio this week--aiming for 200 minutes. I'm at 67 so far, with 33 more to come tonight.

Today I did a partial water change in my water garden, for my fishies' comfort while the tank cycles. Carrying 5 gallons of water around my apartment several times was surprisingly good strength training, lol. I also scrubbed off the algae from the tank which took a while, but was totally worth it; since the tank is a translucent blue color, I can see them swimming around again without the impairment of opaque green stuff. I really should post pics but I am waiting for something to bloom first...

Tonight we had an amazing dinner. I picked up some fresh-made ravioli and garlic marinara at the North Market (lobster, asparagus, and asiago-sun-dried-tomato ravioli, to be specific), a loaf of 9 grain bread, some fresh local veggies, and fruits.

My bf also got me some gorgeous flowers emoticon.

Here are a few pics:

(This was his portion, mine was a little smaller)

Life is good, and I feel great (another noticeable change, from someone who, so recently and for far too long, has been in a deep slump). I feel strong, and my energy levels are much higher than normal emoticon

Off to do some cardio!!!
