The next couple of weeks are loaded with activities and lots of guests coming to visit. When this happens I tend to fall off the wagon so to speak, and I don't eat as healthy as I should, and don't exercise. It seems when I get together with family or friends its all about "eating." We spend more time, preparing, eating, and cleaning up than we do spending time together. I have really had to think about how I can stay on track during this time. I will plan my menu better, having healthier meals, with less prep time. When the family goes to Czech Days, this becomes a real eating fest. I will really struggle, due to almost nothing served during this time is healthy. I will eat the food, but this year, I will be more aware of portion sizes. I will have fun this next couple of weeks, but I will also put myself first, and make "healthy dining" a priority most of the time. I have to have a kolache, roast pork and sauerkraut with rye bread or I wouldn't be Czech!
